It's been a hot busy summer! We need a hot party! How convenient that Don and I have executed the landscape plans...so the place looks great and we can focus on having a fun party! What's going on with John?
I want to share with you a great piece about “Skyline Downtown Salon” that was featured in the December issue of Spaces Magazine, the Design and Lifestyle magazine for Kansas City. (See attached)
Carmen and I have run into a few set backs, mainly construction. So, our opening date has been pushed back to sometime THIS April. Who knew it would be this difficult?! But it is happening!!! We are very EXCITED!!!
I just returned from a week long Salon Business Immersion course at Bumble and Bumble in New York City. For those that don’t know Bumble and Bumble is a high-end hair product company, some say the best in the world. Skyline Downtown Salon will be an exclusive Bumble salon.
My business partner, Carmen, and I have been very busy with architects, contractors, IT people, vendors, accountants, stylists, PR people, fellow business owners, carpenters, City hall, blah blah blah… There is so much to do, but it will soon come to fruition! Stay tuned for your invite to our Grand Opening celebration. More on that later!

We finally have photos...
Just laid sod and cleaned up the leaves. Now the major hard-scape is done except for the wood (ipe) portions: deck, conceal over the pool cover, backstop and sunscreen, bench at west end of the pool, tanning deck on the north wall... I guess there is still a lot to do!
